Faith | Jesus | Scripture
These are all topics that are a huge part of my life, but I don’t always talk about in great detail on social media. Why?! Several reasons that all probably start with fear of judgement for what I believe and lead me to the fear of losing followers due to my differing and controversial worldview. But I’m really trying to work past the fears I have about sharing my faith on social media.
So today I want to share with you some of the resources I have come to love this year while studying and diving deeper into the Bible.
1. Read Scripture App from The Bible Project.
Does anyone else love a good info-graphic as much as I do? If so, this is a great resource for you. I dove more into this app in my instagram stories the other day, including giving an inside view, but if you missed it – this is an app that breaks down the Bible into bite sized illustrated videos. You can head to my Faith Highlight on IG to catch the replay if you missed it.
2. Give Me Jesus Journal by Well Watered Women.
This is a new to me journal that was recommended by a new friend, but it is totally transforming the time I spend in the Word. Basically it’s a journal that guides your bible study time into sections. There is a section for gratitude, prayer, study, reflection, and more. It’s been so helpful to me!
3. A good study Bible.
Mine is the ESV Study Bible and while I am a huge advocate for reading scripture without using the notes of someone else to understand it, I also think there is a time and place for using a study bible to do a deep dive and really grab some of the insights that the scholars have put together.
4. Good pens and great coffee!
I am a sucker for office supplies and love having great pens when I am doing my bible study. I use different colors to help things stand out. Plus a good cup of coffee is always good! Right now I’m on an iced coffee kick since the weather has been warming up.
Those my go to resources for studying and spending time in scripture right now. I’d love to hear from you – are there any resources and tools that you love to use?
