Hey friends! Summer is officially here and July is settling in. Currently I’m loving the warm weather and so excited for what summer has in store!
For me Summer 2019 holds a move, some exciting new business ventures, and a fun West Coast Vacay with some family members, among other things! Do you have any fun plans for the summer?
It’s been 2 months since my last First Friday Favorites post – unintentionally, but it’s my messy reality. I am trying to get into a regular posting schedule here in my little corner of the world, but I am thankful for your grace as I work toward that.
Anyway – this month I want to share some more of my favorites with you, mostly focused around summer!
1 – Juice Beauty Sunscreen
Sunscreen is a must, but not all of it is actually helping you!
Here’s what I’m learning about sunscreen that I want to pass along…
☀️stay away from chemical SPF ingredients
☀️look for mineral sunscreen that contains physical block SPF ingredients
☀️avoid “mineral-based” (those often means it has been mixed with a chemical sunscreen)
☀️look for water-resistant sunscreen (which means it has gone through testing)
☀️look for broad-spectrum (aka it blocks UVA & UVB rays)
☀️make sure the inactive ingredients aren’t toxic
Do you have a favorite non-toxic mineral sunscreen?
2 – Lex Farmer’s Market
Hello Fresh Produce!
One of my new favorite Saturday activities is to head to the local downtown farmer’s market and grab fresh produce for the week and some other treats too (including my favorite Kombucha pictured here)!
My current favorites are zucchini and yellow squash.
Do you love to go to the farmer’s market?
3 – Iced Blueberry Black Tea Lemonade
This new Starbucks drink is perfect for refreshing during a hot day!
I’ve had one the last two days while I spent time working at Starbucks and it is so good!
What’s your favorite Starbucks drink? I’d love to hear if you try this one!
4 – C25K App
Warm weather is here and I’m working to get back into running. So I downloaded the C25K App and so far I’m loving it! It is a great way to ease back into running and slowly build up to faster times and longer distances!
Are you a runner? If so, I’d love to know your favorite tips and tricks for training to run races!
5 – Refreshing Tonic
This is seriously a MUST have in my life! It is a fabulous product and so versatile. It is the second step in the skin care regimen that I follow, but I also use it after I go for a run or do a workout AND I use it to help take off my makeup at night.
After my workouts this amazing little tonic helps rebalance the pH on my skin and keep my skin from breakouts. The sweat on our skin is a good thing, but we don’t want to let it sit there for hours, so when my workout is over, I take a cotton pad and swipe some of this goodness over my skin! It makes me feel so much better and helps my skin until I can get home and shower and really wash my face.
Thanks for reading! Let me know what you are loving right now!
